Juvenile Eastern Brown Snake

Call-outs for "tiger snakes" aren't unusual, but in nearly all cases the "tiger snake" is an eastern brown snake. Tiger snakes are uncommon in SE QLD, known from only several populations. However, lots of common brown snakes are banded as youngsters. Photograph by Stewart Macdonald © www.ugmedia.com.au

Snake catcher, Daniel Gilbertson has a strong passion for the welfare of native animals, and has worked in the wildlife industry for over 10 years, from running wildlife education programs for schools to running the venom production facility at the Australian Reptile Park. However, he also understands that most people prefer not to have venomous snakes on their properties, therefore, his goal is to prevent snake bites from occuring by removing venomous snakes from commercial and residential properties and relocating them to nearby bushland, while providing a professional, friendly and educational service.

Snakes are protected by law - it is illegal to catch or kill them without an appropriate permit. It's also taking an unnecessary risk as this is when most snake bites occur. So put the safety of yourself, your work colleagues or your family first by calling a licensed professional if you have any concerns regarding snakes on your property.

We also offer full property searches and assessments. This means we will search for snakes on your property and advise you of what needs to be done to keep your property as snake-free as possible.
